Manuel Paiva foi o vencedor do Prémio Ciência Viva Montepio, o Kit educativo Biogénius, liderado pelo investigador José Matos, do INIAV ( Instituto Nacional de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária, I.P.) recebeu o Prémio Ciência Viva Educação e o projeto UACiência , uma parceria entre a Universidade dos Açores, a Revista Açores Magazine (suplemento do jornal Açoriano Oriental) e a Rádio Comercial Açores/Açores TSF recebeu o Prémio Ciência Viva Media.
